Putting aside 18" porsche rims, we have a mildly tuned Daewoo Matiz being built locally. open the bonnet to still see 3 plug leads. but you can't see the back 3 so easily.
3.0 vauxhall V6 conversion.
same guy also has the mag featured 4x4 zt fiesta rst, again just rims from std.
twin 3.2 combo van, and a wide arched ax gt on sierra 4x4 floor and turbo technics V6, those two are not sleepers and as yet unfinished.

the mini cosworth although it does looked track orientated it still a surprise to learn it has almost 500hp of yb power to people who haven't yet seen it. wennys mk3 and the royal nail are way up there for me. in terms of been a pure sleeper I think the royal nail is what its all about. I have a bonus with a reasonably quick rst engine and big brakes ect. has full 88 spec interior and alloys so isn't a sleeper in the trues sense really

Dad has a part restored 1963 MG roadster that no doubt ill one day inherit.
Now, i have suggested sticking an LS engine in there but he is not so keen. If he funds it, ill build it lol.
Some of those 'sleepers' posted with roll cages etc... I dont think they understand lol

exactly they all look modified so people wont be surprised. Even a mega engine in an xr2 or similar isnt really a sleeper as its still a "faster" car to start with so people might expect it to be played with.
A true sleeper should look on the outside like a standard non performance version of a road car. Nothing on the outside should give it away. Easily visible roll cage bars isnt subtle.

There was a Volvo estate on here for sale a while ago with a big V8 in it.
I think it was a V8, that was a sleeper.
