I've been looking for a sunroof seal for ages
was recently in contact with http://www.classiccar-trim.com/
they will reproduce the seal in a few years, good news

I was at my local car dump, where I found that scorpio from 86 and up have the same seal, it is too long but can be adapted
I found that sierra mk2 and mk3 escort has the same seal, in fact, the whole sunroof is the same
I would think that ford orion also parts sunroof with escort mk3, I guess mk4 and mk5 may also fit

If you find a seal that is in order,
then wash it properly
put it in a large bag
Empty a can of silicone spray on the seal, tie the bag and leave it in a few weeks.
you have a great "new" seal

 

Lucky enough I have a brand new complete sunroof ready to go on mine when I get round to it, purchased it a several years ago,

I should also think there would also be a big demand for window rubbers.

 

It may seem that it is almost impossible to obtain most parts besides engine and tuning parts.

I think, how many people have bought new window rubbers, sunroof seals, clips etc.? not many
some have crashed but not every ford owner has been off the road . but it is hardly a body part to obtain from a dealer.

My local Ford dealer told me that at one time a large ford warehouse burned to the ground.

if it's true,
that must be the explanation for the low supply of parts

Another thing is that the cars are not Old enough for a lot of reproduction yet
