Very nice car but spoilt with tacky flashers lamps momo gear knob and a blue RST decal.

Don`t sound right to me who would do that to a 3000 miles car

fair point doo but look at that price i could understand £10000 but £14995 asking price is well high ive seen a s1 with 7000 miles go for less than that

IMO wrong Steering Wheel and Aftermarket Gearknob are signs that it isnt quite as innocent as it looks though.

what has different steering wheels and lights etc got to do with it? They could have been fitted very early. My old s1 had that steering wheel...it was factory option. Fair enuff the momo isnt factory etc, but it makes no odds. Its like saying people who are doing subtle little mods to their focus RS's that have only done this kinda low miles are 'hiding something'

Lee, I only said they are 'Signs'. For 15k, it wants to be abso-fookin-lutely Top Notch. To a prospective buyer (as you or I would be) when buying a car, there are often details that point to a cars history. e.g. Badges on the boot not in Standard position, Wear on the Drivers Seat Bolster, Worn Accelerator pedal etc etc. These dont confirm anything factually, but give a hint.

At 15k, I would be asking myself what kind of person changes the Steering Wheel for an Earlier one? Its a bit like putting a Sierra Steering wheel on an ST220. (OK, so an extreme example, but do you see my point?). I know its stereo-typing a bit, but remember this car is probably the most expensive 'Unmodified' S2 in the country.

so thats stereo, steering wheel, gear knob, front and rear lights and both side indicators

dont look like the standard tyre tred either, or is that me being too geeky

that means it would have to enter the "modified concourse" surley as its NOT standard

the car is old and been around a while, plenty of time to fit and remove stuff to it , doesnt need to have done 50k miles to have a steering wheel fitted
