Steering issue?

If its moving can you not see what us the cause?

Alternatively, get it up in the sir and shame the strut to see if there is movement

If its the wheel turn the other thing could be that the driveshaft hasn't seated oroplery on the new hub which would mean lots if play in the same way as a wheel bearing

Have you got the correct pinch bolt for the ball joint?

Yes 18 mm ball joint for 18mm carrier had the micromiter on it . It's just not grabbing and it pops under load ie. when turning or if stationery you can push the wheel with your foot and feel it poping I put a brand new wishbone on 7 days ago and it's doing it already drivers side all the time

I don't get it.

Unless they have changed the design from what I'm used to, the balljoint spiggot cannot move in the knuckle if the pinch bolt is in and tight.

The spiggot has a recess which the pinch bolt partially passes through. Unless the knuckle is badly worn then it is rock solid.

I think the moral of the story here is stop buying cheap shit. You are asking for trouble buying used suspension parts from a scrap yard.

It always makes sense to buy genuine parts. They might be more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Motor factors usually do a cheap version and an OE equivalent, always worth asking as just because it doesn't have a Ford badge doesn't mean its not from the same manufacturer!
