To have it done properly is hugely expensive, and you generally have to strip the car back to a bare shell.

If you're not going to put a full cage in, it will help the car become more rigid.

If you do put a cage in, you won't notice it over the stiffening effect of the cage.

Is it worth doing, absolutely.....especially if you already have it down to a bare shell

Well the shell may be stiffer but is it still going to be bolted to the important bits with squishy rubber or nylon mountings

A stiffer shell will make suspension adjustments more noticeable because the shell is not part of the damping system.
