Hi could someone help with a small problem I have with my 2003 ford focus 1.8TDCI the problem only occurs when the car is cold what happens is that when pulling away from stationary the car occasionally cuts out, this never happens once it is warmed up. any help would be much appreciated.

It's a trait of the 1.8 Lynx unfortunately.
I leave mine run for 5 mins first thing in the morning to get some heat into the cast iron block.
I cured mine almost fully by disabling the EGR.

Thanks for the information, can you tell me where the EGR is situated and how to disable it
