Default most stupid topic about a "maybe 700bhp" scooby en

a guy is building himself a very nice scooby engine with twin turbo set-up...

this are the specs...
fully closeddeck 2.5litre Sti engine
forged pistons
forged conrods
good crank
ported and flown heads with race cams
1000cc HKS injectors
legacy bi-turbo inlet etc etc
he uses TD04 and TD05H turbos

so...edited for everyone...

Wim- if you REALLY belive thats a pic of the built up 700bhp Scooby lump then it shows its not ONLY Rene whos daft in Holland

Standard exhaust, standard inlet, standard turbos, standard turbo-filter hoses, standard absolutley EVERYTHING...

Its even got the writing on it saying what engine it is, like at all breakers to help identify it for the customers.

There is NO WAY this engine has been taken to pieces, as all the pipes hed never use again are still intact and looks to have never been removed anyhow...

Its pics of the std Legacy RS Twin turbo engine...

that throttle looks barely larger enough to flow for that power, I have to say the boxer engine looks like a pig to work on even out of the car it still looks like an arse!

I'll stick to my shonky V6 can practically stand in the engine bay of my sierra

@itsmeagain......why isnt it possible to get high bhp from a 2.5 litre twin turbo engine...the guy has 1000cc injectors, two nice turbos ready to go, he got him made up a special exhaust 3inch...

where can you see if a block is closeddeck(fully) with forged pistons, forged rods, very good crank, flown head and race cams...you cant see it from the outside...

but the bloke is still busy with it...

if you really believe that only cossies, skylines, supras, evo's etc etc can get big bhp then your a daft to...

the bloke is still busy with his car/engine.....and there is nothing wrong with it...

your right...the engine on the pic will not deliver the 700bhp....but do you know how it looks now...

You CAN get massive power from the 2.5 Scoob engine.

THAT engine HASNT been taken to bits n modded tho, maybe it has NOW but NOT when the pics have been taken

Dont belive my judgment? Go onto Scoobynet and post them pics and claim its a 700bhp engine, and prepare to have the piss ripped out of you by everyone...

Not trying to take the piss allI thinke we are saying (well at least me) is that the pic looks like a donor engine looks like the start of the project just come from a scrappy. All the hoses are still have water corrosion in them and old clips etc the old aux belt is still on it and take a look at the marking round the water pump if he had rebuilt it that would of been changed etc. So I'd assume these are pics of the engine as it was before he started work on it.

Cheers
Jay

YOU DONT GET IT

You posted saying it was a 700bhp scooby engine, the engine in the pics IS NOT, although we cant see inside, its obvious to everyone with half a brain (for the various reasons already mentioned by me and others) that the engine in the pics has never been apart it its bloody life.
Nothing to do with how clean it is either...

He MIGHT be making the engine into a 700bhp monster, its totally possible, but in those pics, it is a standard 2.5 twin turbo RS engine.

Ok, to get some better info, look at:

http://www.extreme-machines.nl/forum...&highlight=700

It's all written in dutch, but it says the block in the pictures comes from Japan and has 400 BHP in that form.

With a lot of tuning the person claims it can get to 700 BHP.

Hope this will solve a lot of misunderstanding.

The most powerful standard Legacys, Japan or not, are 280bhp, NOT 400bhp.

Geezers talking bollocks and everyones beliving him...
