Default Fiesta Mk6 1.4 Duratec water leak

This leak is strange one. Are there any common probs before I investigate? It was driven all the way from Peterborough to mine(over 100 miles) and didn't loose a drop yesterday. We have used it today and it lost about half a header, yet no visible drips! Then, second time we used today it has lost a full header tank and there is a puddle on the drive/drips on underside of engine. All to the drivers side. Could it be the water pump? Any ideas?

Could be water pump or thermostat housing (under alternator)

seems like the same problem i had with my car.
Please drive the car in traffic and stop at a side to see if the bottle is boiling water once the cap has been taken off.

Had this exact same problem on our sportka (1.6 duratec, dont know if the same as yours) for about 3 months, just been topping it, untill this weekend i could see its been leaking from a sensor under where the air box is. Its got a funny type of seal so im going to change it.

Core plugs go also, filling the spark plug wells up with coolant.

Yeah read that somewhere Richie. I have not had chance to look yet, took it in P/X against our Mini yesterday, knew it had a leak but its a good car and cheap doing the P/X. Only thing I have done is release the cap and it does not boil over. Like I say, it didn't leak for a 100 mile trip, but then did this afternoon just driving about 10 miles!
