Default Fiesta RS turbo boot release not working

Hi guys as above really, anyone know if they have a relay?, or if its a common fault? Many thanks

Take the switch out and by pass it and see if the boot pops then ?

I dont remember a relay.

It's almost always the connection seen when the boot is open
There are pins in the boot that rub on plates on the car
Rub them both back with some sand paper or similar
The connection will be far better
Near to the catch

Exactly what I was going to say my brothers old frst boot never opened off the switch until I cleaned all the crap off there and surprise surprise it worked every time after

Also the tailgate earths through the boot hinge pins, rust on the hinge pins can cause electrical probs on wiper/hrw and boot release.

Just tap them back and forth with a long punch, spray some WD on them, work tail gate up and down..repeat.
