Default Megasquirt - adding an oil temp gauge

I'm buying a megasquirt 2 in a few weeks and i'm just curious if it's possible to have both water temperature and oil temperature available to view on the tunerstudio or megatune (whichever one is used) as i don't want to have an oil tempearture gauge sitting on the dashboard or on the a pillar.. trying to keep gauges to a minimum.

Thanks for any answers!

I've heard good thing about these but they're primarily for a plug and play on OFAB systems. I'm going onto a Ford focus standard loom.
Would I need to ask for this as an additional extra, as I had a look at some pinouts for ms2 v3 and couldn't see any oil temp going in..

I would use boost monkeys they do a gen8 ecu which is megasquirt.

I had a very bad experience with extra efi.

Ecu was incorrectly wired and built, certain he charged me for boost control and it isn't in the ecu.

I have the gen8 build no 1 currently awaiting fitting!

It's a ms2 based ecu with pretty much every extra available and as such its able to do petty mucheverything youd be after.

.....but rob focuses heavily on build quality, and because of this the ecu appears to be extremely well made using excellent oem style connectors etc. so ms unreliability from poor build quality ( ms's only real drawback up until now) should not be an issue.

As an extra bonus he's a top guy to deal with extremely helpfull and very honest. After expressing interest in the gen8 back in August/September rob kept me informed all the away along and despite a few setbacks etc he couldn't have handled them in a more honest straight up way! Top man!

Sorry about the essay but just thought share my experiences with boost monkeys and robs excellent ecu to date so far.

They are not primarily OFAB plug and play mate, thats just one of the ECu's they produce.
As for the oil temp you'd just use one of the programmable analogue inputs.

Indeed I do, I'll be doing a little write up with some pics as soon as the rest of the docs land in my inbox.

Is it some thing that can be done in a day if I bought a ecu off them or would I need to leave the car with them

I think the retail is £480 but I know Rob has made a few changes recently and I believe the price is one of them so you'll need to check with him to be sure.

Yes, you fit the plugs you need based on what sensors, inputs and outputs you need.

Good good, I'd be going onto the existing loom anyway. Does this come with the comms cable and tuning software?
