Default Am I being too fussy?

The leather and chrome are coming off my gearknob so ordered a richbrook replacement hoping that it would last longer than the standard Ford item.

When I ordered it I stated that I needed the 6 speed pattern with the reverse in the top left. I also sent an email straight after I ordered it to ensure I got the right insert.
Alas the knob turned up without the right insert

So I phoned up richbrook and in all fairness the customer service is spot on! the right insert was made and sent in the post that morning!

So today this turned up...

Can anyone else see anything wrong with this? Cause everyone else is telling me to stop being so fussy!

My OCD alert went off as soon as I saw it :/

Are all of them wonky like that?

EDIT: Google shows that they're not all wonky - must be faulty?

Cheers guys! At least it's not just me.

I have sent an email with a picture. Hopefully they will send me another with a Ford logo in the centre.

From what I can work out the 5&6 speed patterns are standard with the reverse in the bottom right. If you want a 6 speed with the reverse top left then it is made to order. The standard items that got sent to me are perfectly centre.

I'm not fussed on the Ford item and this knob is much better built for exactly the same price. I just can't be dealing with stuff like off centre Ford logos

No you're not being fussy. I spotted the issue as soon as I saw the picture. Get them to send you another one.

Had an email saying I might have to wait a while for a new one to be made up as they are all like this in the warehouse.

Great!

Going to see if they've got one without the ford logo in stock I can have for the time being.

Could you take it out completely and leave it blank? Will still look OK.

In all fairness I was dealing with the MD of Richbrook who was spot on!
He emailed me back something along the lines "that looks crap and totally embaressed we even sent that out".
Now I'm dealing with someone else and she hasn't replied all day. Her last email said the warehouse is busy doing Christmas orders so I might have to wait a while.

After no reply all day I've just sent a message explaining that this is a christmas presant for myself but off a family member and I need something sorted before Christmas day.

They sent me some plain inserts after I kicked up a fuss.
Basically they kept telling me that Christmas orders were priority and I would just have to wait! Disgusting customer service really.
When I finally got a tidy insert I installed the gear knob and found the bottom isn't deep enough to accept my lift reverse collar.
So I put it in the attic and ordered a ford one.
Fucking waste of time.

Surely they check that what they are selling has been made properly, if you have been told others that they have are the same, someone has cocked up big time! It would piss me off looking at that wonky logo, hope they sort it out for you.
