cheers for that ,i just wasnt sure how flexible the powdercoat would be with the travel of the coil springs going up and down

On all the aftermarket springs I have had the powdercoating has come off and the springs have started rusting. So personally I think it doesn't work. I was wondering whether plastidipping the springs would solve the issue.

In my experience plastidip isn't anywhere near strong enough.

You could powder coat a couple coils at either end then plasti dip the middle section, seems like a ball ache though.

The rusty springs I had were from Apex, and the Ahmed Bayjoo springs I currently have are also rusty again. The fact I drive the car in all weather, including snow and salt probably doesn't help much. Still the original Ford springs looked in better condition after 20 years of service.

Same here, I've put back the original Ford springs on the front, because the
AB's were too harsh for me.
The AB's were already rotting and the Ford ones were still as new
(they have had an easy life in Spain upto now but still...)
