hello all, does anyone know whether it is possible to obtain a f/g dash or could the dash i have be covered in fibre glass. if not available i thought if the covering was removed from shell surely it could be done. although i have a couple of good dash boards i just thought it might be good in a track car. i have one with a couple of cracks which i'm happy to sacrifice.
any thoughts on this.

If its for a track car ,put a saff one in ,only main difference on the early ones is no grille on top, and they don't crack

A guy did make a full carbon fibre one a few years ago so yes its possible. I believe his place burned down though and he lost all his moulds

Never did work out where the one in my car came from its a Carbon skin but was obviously made specifically for the Sierra

The chap who made the carbon one was selling them on ebay for Ł1250 they were exact copies of the 3dr version, I dont imagine he sold many

I remember seeing the carbon one at central day a few years back, I was totally in ore at the workmanship. 1250 is silly cheap for a part like that. One thing that did baffle me was what the purpose of it was?

Your removing a standard dash to replace with a near exact copy in shinny carbon. If its for the bling effect (if thats what your into) then fair enough but if racing is the them then the glare must be horrendous. Also if you are making a new part surely some changes to move things around making the dash more practical and suitable for racing would be a good idea?

Would be interesting to see some more pics if anyone has any of their efforts on their custom dashboards

Pretty sure the guy was rebuilding his 3dr into a brand new shell and just fancied a carbon dash and he had the skills to do it, so then offered them out to any other interested people as well. Agree glare would be dire, satin finish may help though.
