Long time bud, trust you are fine & dandy. Heres some advice from someone further into life than you, its sound so please listen.
Are you now in a position to burn money & keep everything else in your life to the standard you require. If you are then by all means waste a chunk of money on an old Ford but dont stunt your future to do it. Life is a long haul & retirement will happen it pays to have money when you reach it.
Cheers Rod

im 12yrs without one and stil will never buy another one. i fullfilled a teenage dream of owning one but when i look back they aint all that. i wasted loads of money then and i cant imagine how much money 12yrs on it would take to keep one in tip top condition.

if you buy a good one, it will appreciate, you can insure them for peanuts, they are pretty reliable if looked after.....
i have owned RS's for over 10 years now, of all sorts and loved everyone, they have never been a money pit, in fact i have sold most for more than what i bought them for.
just because you can spend thousands on gauges, add on bits and giving a £3k car a £4k respray, doesn't mean you have too.
enjoy the hobby and spend what you want on it.
