Long time bud, trust you are fine & dandy. Heres some advice from someone further into life than you, its sound so please listen.

Are you now in a position to burn money & keep everything else in your life to the standard you require. If you are then by all means waste a chunk of money on an old Ford but dont stunt your future to do it. Life is a long haul & retirement will happen it pays to have money when you reach it.
Cheers Rod

im 12yrs without one and stil will never buy another one. i fullfilled a teenage dream of owning one but when i look back they aint all that. i wasted loads of money then and i cant imagine how much money 12yrs on it would take to keep one in tip top condition.

your all perpetuating the myth that its expensive to own and run one

if you buy a good one, it will appreciate, you can insure them for peanuts, they are pretty reliable if looked after.....

i have owned RS's for over 10 years now, of all sorts and loved everyone, they have never been a money pit, in fact i have sold most for more than what i bought them for.

just because you can spend thousands on gauges, add on bits and giving a £3k car a £4k respray, doesn't mean you have too.

enjoy the hobby and spend what you want on it.

Good to see you back on here mate, I remember you from back when you had the cossie.
Why are you thinking of coming back to cossie ownership? After almost 13 years I'm really thinking of getting out!

i suppose i agree with you a bit but good ones dont come cheap. if id kept mine id make a hell of a lot more money now. i sold a 2wd flint grey with a fair few mods for £3600. times have changed with the prices but my reasoning is why would i sell one for peanuts and 12 yrs later pay loads more for a car thats much older.

just my thinking but everyones different.
