what should i look out for if my car is running lean any advice wellcome

There is no way to tell without an accurate AFR meter, other than it maybe feels a tad faster and sharper than the spec suggests.

EGT will give you an indication but is very slow to respond so if its at a certain point in the range, EGT thermocouple likely wont even notice it.

Porkie, thanks any other was of testing wheather if iam running lean as ive lost power my car dont miss fire but it feels slow then befor like as if the timming has retarded

btw if your car feels slower then it won't be down to running lean as the leaner the faster not the other way round!

SPADGE, thats right m8 just need pointing in the right direction as ive taken it to a rolling road specalist and they hade the car for a bit and all they could say that it was down to the leads but i cant see how the leads would make me lose 30 bhp on his rollers and all be down to the leads but it dont misfire spadge i know your good with your cosworths so any advice as to what i can look out for befor i hand it over to some one else
