VIA PAYPAL WANNA BE SURE BE FOR I DO ANYTHING

This transaction exceeds your remaining Sending Limit. Please complete your enrolment in the Expanded Use Programme. You will then be allowed to send more money.

Enrol in Expanded Use

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PayPal offers an Expanded Use option to help you get the most out of your PayPal account. Just complete our easy enrolment process to enjoy these Expanded Use benefits:

No Account Sending Limit - send unlimited funds from your PayPal account.
No Withdrawal Limit - withdraw unlimited funds from your PayPal account.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Enrol in Expanded Use

You're just three steps away from completing Expanded Use:

Step 1:
Authorize PayPal to charge a $1.95 USD Expanded Use Fee to your card. (You will receive a $1.95 USD bonus in your PayPal account after you complete enrolment.)

Step 2:
On your next credit card statement (monthly transaction history), find the four-digit Expanded Use Number that will be printed in the item description section of the charge. It may take three to four working days for the number to appear on your statement.

Step 3:
Log in to your PayPal account, click the Get Verified link on your Account Overview, and enter your Expanded Use Number.

When you enter your Expanded Use Number, your enrolment will be complete. You'll have access to unlimited sending and withdrawals, and you will become a Verified Member of PayPal!

Click Get Number to authorise PayPal to charge $1.95 USD to your credit card ending in 6818.

sounds dodgey to me as to get verified on ebay it says you need to verify your phone number and your account, they verify the account by putting 2 small deposits in and then you enter the amounts into the section on your paypal account

The basic Paypal account has a limit on funds you can send and receive. Where did the email originate from telling you to upgrade (check email headers to see if its a genuine PayPal email)?

Not dodgy. When you register on Paypal you are limited to only sending £500, so once you have sent that you need to become verified. I am in this situation now myself! When you register they charge $1.95 to your bank account and on your statement it has PAYMENT TO PAYPAL followed by 4 digits. YOu need these 4 digits to enter as your expanded user code to become verified. Once verified you have no sending limits as it is just taken out your bank like direct debit (again you have to fill a form out on paypals site for this)

Me being a twat never got round to entering the 4 digit code, now can't find the bank statement with the code on it, and the bank won't send me a copy of an old statement unless I pay em a fiver And you can't have the code sent again from paypal unless you use Mastercard or American Express (which I use neither)

B.C - totally agree - if in doubt with eBay and Paypal, ask away mate, like you say, better safe than sorry!

My problem is now I can't buy anything using paypal untill I get verified and my sending limit's revoked - even tho I have already added a direct debit bank account!

Plus I also can't seem to pay ebay - every time I bid on something I get a pop up from ebay reminding me I have seller fee's to pay, but it says "you must makea payment of £0.00 to eBay" - why make a payment of fuck all??????

The message itself tho is not a scam - it is the way Paypal work. They impose a £500 sending limit untill you verify your account with them, then you are unlimited on what you can send using their service. So if I had entered my expanded use number that showed up on my bank statement (like my bro did for exampl) when I got it, I would still be able to use Paypal now, and not have a note come up saying "you only have £2.88 of you sending limit left - please verify account to continue"

That's nothing to do with any seller on ebay, that is purely Paypal. The same would happen if you tried to pay your eBay fee's using Paypal but had less in your sending limit that you need to pay eBay (is you have £2.88 left and you need to pay eBay say, £6.52)

Nothing to do with a seller or a scam...

well least you sorted payment for your psp after all that

Ask the seller to mark it as sample rather than Gift, don't quote me on it but customs let mine through np's no charges, but the other day a M8 of my father in law got his and it was marked as gift the courier then handed him the parcel and releived him of £75

Soo fookin glad they didn't do that to me
