Default Fuel Pumps

Hey Everyone,

How many LPH is the Sierra Cosworth's fuel pump? Do most guys put in a higher flow fuel pump even while running stock for future power builds?

Thanks

The cosworth pump bosch 941 according to Burtons is 3.67Lper minute. Its sufficent over and above standard power but many choose the 044 pump for big power.

if you need to change the pump, get the best one you can afford.
i opted for a 913 pump, which is basically a 044 pump, but hand built with some better parts, rated to run at 8BAR and peak at 10BAR, you need to be in motorsport to get hold of one though.
what i'm saying is, future proof when you can.

I have a friend who owns a tuning shop and he has some connections I will look for future proofing. Either that or Walbro 255LPH pump.

Thanks boys

more than tuning to get a 913, it has to be a motorsport team as bosch do not deal with anyone else on these, rrp is somewhere like Ł349 IIRC.
an 044 in standard form will do most peoples applications, i just got offered mine cheap at the time.

More than enough for the 'average' tune.

It's a different story in the case of an Escos though, which uses a pump which can be found in a Orion .
