Default Fuel pump wont work??????

Right, my car is a project so is off the road. Only start it every so often to bring it upto the house, work on it then back into the garage.
One day had the car upto the house and worked on it. Came the time to put it away and it wouldnt start! Yes battery was absolutely fine, but cant now hear the fuel pump prime!
Got a replacement off a guy near me, he tested it and said it defo worked ok. Got the tank down and plugged the pump in. Tried the ignition before re fitting ( dont want to have to take it down.......again!) Didnt work! 2 small nicks in the wires to the plug so i cut them and re-joined them and still nothing! Fuse is ok and I can also hear the relay click when I turn the ignition on but the pump wont prime!

Any ideas please. Im really not good with car electrics unless its wiring up a stereo!!

check the "crash" switch, then using a DVM check for 12v plus on the power wire and then check the other (ground) wire for continuity with the chassis! If you have problems PM me and if desperate I can skype you and talk you through it!
