unless your running big power the std pump is fine for a lift pump, it only has to half fill the swilr pot the other half is kept full by the return line.

A Holley red top will be fine , I had one of these on a old lifter set up and the engine was producing over 500 hp , before I had the red top I used a std cozy pump to lift
And on the rollers it was leaning off around the 480/490 mark .
The swirl pot does not need high pressure , as the pump to the engine will give you your fuel pressure .
And as said above any over filling of the swirl pot will just go back into the tank
Think auto sell the red tops and there not that pricey new .

I think he means a Facet Red Top. That's what I'm using on my set up as a lift pump. I know when I worked it out, a single Facet, feeding a 1litre swirl pot, supplying a Bosch 979 was ok for my 300-320 bhp. Not sure if a single Facet will supply over 400 though. You'd have to work it out.
Only if the return is fed into the swirl pot too

I used a holley blue pump with return back to swirlpot with no issues running around 330bhp
