Anybody had any experience with some of the cheapy Fault Code readers from ebay? Good, Bad, Indifferent?

Looking at picking up a cheap one and wondering what ones are good etc.

Thanks in advance

Haha for some reason I don't want to find myself spending 2k but I don't mind spending a little more than the cheapest options.

Basically just want to read codes, reset codes and possibly some other diagnostics features. Do all code reseters allow airbag lights to be reset or is this a different diagnostic feature?

Would a laptop based alternative be a better option?

when I looked into it the ones that would let you reset the airbags would only let you do it of each specific model, have a look at the Autel ones, I've got the maxi dad ds708 it's really good, can do a million and one cars, but they also do the simple ones as well, but still with a lot of good features.
