my cosworth celica took me 8 years and cost over Ł28000 to get on the road. that was a complete new body replacing every panel with main dealer sourced parts mostly shipped over from toyota in japan though along with the cosworth conversion and general all around upgrading. does that make you feel any better?

The estate had a case of terminal tin worm and I still needed about Ł2500 to get it to the stage of being wing mechanically short d and running to a reliable state
So when someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse

My Orion took 4 years... Was very long days and nights working to fund it...
It's been back out for 3 years and as mentioned above, there never finish...
I'll always have jobs to do on it... Perfecting it I call it...

Mines been on going since I bought the car nearly 8 years ago. I drove the car everyday and just did bits and bobs to it every now and then. The cossie has been in the bodyshop since april.
I dont think we will ever be 100% happy with our cars. There will always be something to do to them.

My last convertion took 4 years 5 months & im 2 years 3 months into the latest & absolutely no idea of a completion date. Its a 25 year old car so while its being modded i dont have to drive it a big advantage . The only thing im sure of is the Missus has told me its the last throw of the dice & for once i agree with her.

my last project, my cosworth bmw touring, was built over a couple of years but was done while i used it as an everyday car. the longest it was off the road was 17 weeks for the fud to fit the engine. ( 2 weeks was quoted)
