The next Focus RS is rumoured to be getting a derivative of our engine
If you poke about you'll find lots of Ford badges and stamps... Bottom of the dipstick, electrical boots, back of the calipers etc etc It is a Focus underneath really remember

Mk2
Not all. At least the driveshafts, clutches etc are not made of soft cheese like the Focus ST. Ford/Mazda Block, Mazda gearbox, Mazda clutch, Mazda driveshafts etc.

Nah, it's not a Ford clutch remember
People running 350 - 400bhp reliably on std clutch, driveshaftes etc without issue.

I would say at least the Mazda wont rust but then again ive seen plenty of rusty Mazdas.
A lot of them are getting repaired under warranty.

The Mk1 doesn't have a boost gauge no. Using Torque Pro I think it went up to about 1.1 bar boost, so about 16PSI

When you've got used to it, try the start procedure that takes the torque limiter off and reduces the steering torque limiter too. Makes it even more "fruity"
