You don't need those bits to take the traction control off and reduce the steering torque restriction.
Put the key in, put it to IGNII position, hold down the DSC button quickley until the dash light flashes, then start the car as normal. The traction control light and DSC light stay on whilst it's de-activated.
Then hang on when you plant your right foot, especially around roundabouts..
The OBD2 / torque Pro bits just lets you read the boost levels from the ECU (among other things)

I think there comes a time in everyones lives where they stop throwing money at old Fords that nobody but themselves seems to appreciate/admire

A button down by your right knee when you're sitting in the drivers seat.
Pressing the button on it's own without that funky start procedure only half takes stuff off.
