Default Ecoboost ST 1.6 vs ST 2.0

Just a curious question, how different are these engines other than they're capacity?

There is a 2.0 ST engine up for grabs on eBay. Thought it'd be cool for someone to drop it in to their Fiesta ST. They both use the same B6 Gearbox.

Fiesta ST with 250bhp on tap. Sounds pretty darn good to me lol

The engines are 100% different. They won't even take the same B6 box

The 1.6 comes from the sigma family, so think fiesta zetec s etc.

The 2.0 is the Mazda derived duratec-he eg st fiesta mk6.

The Mazda and the sigma have different bell housing patterns. B6 just means 6 speed box. Doesn't mean they're the same box and tbh I'd been surprised if a focus runs a b6, seems a bit small

Well its nice to know the Focus ST gear can fit the current Fiesta. Interested in how Will's Fiesta will drive and put the power down

Well I got the custom driveshafts back yesterday and am expecting the ECU & wiring loom by the end of the week

I sent the car down to Ricky @ Race Tech in Sheffield for an intercooler, boost pipes, radiator and airbox fab work - soon as its back from him, hopefully it'll go back together relatively quickly!

Not the easiest of projects though...

How come this engine is for sale already? Someone had a smash this soon?

Ł2800 seems good though for a brand new engine!
