That was my point though when you said 2k. Your not getting a car like he's got for 2k even with those problems.

These engines aren't that bad on fuel to be honest, anyone else think this?
I put Ł40 in and got 124 miles and said 43 miles range left.
That's driving most places in a higher gear but quite alot of boosting
My sierra 2.0 8v i get 137-150 miles from Ł50 driving like a twat. 308 miles to a full 65L tank all motorway

PassionFord Post Whore!!

OK, how can I explain without seeming to be a clever cunt know all.
Simple fact is, on Ford IDS (the pukka Ford diagnostic tool) when ever there is a U code it states something like "Modules should never be replaced on there being just a U code alone" (or words to that effect)
If it was a wheel speed sensor there would be a specific C (chassis) code eg : Cxxxx relevant to a faulty sensor/wiring/tone wheel etc
It could of course be because of a fault in the PCM from a sensor issue as all the systems are linked via can-bus.

As it's got a noisy wheel bearing, it may have effect on the ABS too (TSB 56/2011)
"Should a customer express concern that the brake system warning lamp is illuminated in the instrument cluster and DTC C1141 and/or C1142 are stored in the ABS Module, the probable cause is a missing ABS signal due to front bearing movement as a result of insufficient front wheel bearing fit in the wheel knuckle.
The diagnostics in FordEtis IDS already include this as test but have been revised to include reference to this Service Instruction and should be followed where available.
To rectify this concern, a new front wheel hub should be installed. To prevent the bearing to move in the wheel knuckle bore, the wheel hub should be fixed with sealant."
Parts - Wheel Hub (including bearing) finis 1 471 854
Sealant (Thread Locking HS) (5 ml; sufficient for two wheel hubs) finis 1 461 313
