Hi guys,

Well I was having a talk with a guy in work today and he said that its bad for a performance car if you drive it to slow all the time.

Is there any truth in this?

I don't use full boost that often maybe one a week but if I do go for a spirited drive then I swear the car does seem to run a little better.

Any opinions?

Me personally, I drive quite economically, don't boost very often on the way to work and back but once in a while I will give it the beans and give it a bit of redline action to get rid of any built up carbon. Seems to work well and all my cars have run like clockwork. Also, warming up properly I believe is key as well as warming down.

It's not true imo, it can't do any more harm than it does any other car being driven in the same conditions, it's good to give any engine a spirited drive every now and then, especially if driven in town etc.

if you wanna drive without harming to the engine just drive them between 2100 rpm and 2500 rpm, shift over 2550 rpm. that is normal drive, save fuel and engine don't sufer. of course must blow him time to time
