Default FAO car traders...

When you fill in logbook yellow section (traders bit) and send it off who keeps main logbook bit? seller or buyer?

if selling it to trade(or p/exing etc) you send off yellow section to dvla and give trader rest of logbook-ie main part and new keeper suppl. etc

And do DVLA issue a new logbook off the yellow bit?

no, the yellow part is just notification of sale to a motor trader ie just leting dvla know you longer are in ownership of said vehicle.
