Bmw x3 2.0d 2006 loss in power around 40mph & 2500rpm
I wonder if anyone can help with a problem I have with my x3.
Car works fine and drives fine until I get to around 40mph and over 2500rpm then there's an instant loss in power !! First thoughts were turbo, but up until 40mph it pulls like a train and goes beyond that 2500rpm, but as soon as those two numbers combine its like an engine limiter (even down hill). I know it could be lots of things.....MAF, turbo, intercooler split/blocked, split cooler pipe or loose, pressure sensor, DPF.....the list goes on !!
Please someone shed some light for me before it costs me a fortune just for a £50 sensor.
