Default insuring your weekend car help??!!

Hi guys,
Ive just got myself a mk2 fiesta xr2, i wont be driving it during the winter, will be locked up in the garage while i restore.

Where's the best places to get insurance for my xr2, only for the summer/dry months?

was looking at getting a full years quote then cancelling it when i put it back in the garage for the winter

Any advice would be great

im 19 so i dont think i can get classic car insurance either?

I have my xr2 insured with Admiral .. on a temp cover.

It costs me £30 for 28 days cover .. if I remember correctly you are allowed a car on temp cover for max of 120 days.

Might be worth giving them a call

second car at 19? You're pretty much buggered mate I'm afraid as classic insurance was the only way to get cover at a close to sensible price. Sorry mate

Doesn't look too promising then lol

I can get insured for a full year for £700 with no ncb on the xr2 as I'll keep my other ncb for my mk6 fiesta zetec s. as you can only use your no claim on one car :/

Some company's will mirror your ncb to the new policy if you take a 2nd policy out with them. I go through Greenlight but an actually insured with LV. They mirrored my 8yrs ncb from my daily focus Rs on to my saff cos limited mileage policy. I insure both cars with Kelly as named driver on both for around £800
