Is it worth monitoring gearbox oil temp ?

As I have bad luck with gearboxes,, just wondering would a gearbox oil temp warning light be any use

Or should I just get quicker at gearboxes lol

Do you seriously think you broke the gearboxes from oil being too hot ?
