Default Fiesta puma running rough!

My fiesta puma is running rough, kangeroos up the road in low revs hunts for an idols erratically, it used to pop when you let off the throttle but doesnt anymore? And feel like it down on power, i replaced the lambda sensor a few months back but only with a cheap one, plugged a scanner in it said its running lean?

Wouldn't run without a crankshaft position sensor. It's clearly dropped into a limp mode. My fiesta-puma used to pop and bang off the throttle, and if a sensor went wrong, into limp mode and no bangs.

I'd be plugging an obd reader into the port and seeing what the sensors are reading. The code readers which do live info are about £15!!

If the CPS sensor is near the end of its life it will effectively miss counting some of the teeth on the wheel this mains the EMU thinks it has found the missing tooth reference point and the timing goes way out! -> engine runs like a dog!

well this is what happened to me anyway!
