HI,
I have considered the S8, seems good for cosworth plug and play
and price, plus auto tune version soon or maybe out already,
only snag is the correspondence, as i emailed simon weeks ago and
no reply, and you don't need this if you have a problem, does'nt
give you much confidence for customer service once you have paid your
money, i would like to think this would not happen, but to answer a email
takes just minutes.

However Pectel make looms which virtually plug and play for the Cossie and only need an ignition feed and/or a starter signal. The earths bolt onto the plenum or block and everything else is plug in.

I see - would such loom fit EEC IV Cossie like mine?
By the way - got the question for people on the thread - is anybody here using Motec? I'm looking for somebody runing motec as mate is looking for a base map of some kind so his tuner/mapper can map his car using less fuel/time and so on. I know this isn't very professional probbaly but we don't have many experiennced mappers who can write such things fromt he scratch easily.

Don't say that on here... you will be slated for being different!
How is our install coming on by the way?
Why do you guys always stick with the same old stuff and never explore any other options?
What about:
MBE ?
DTA ?
Emerald ?
Omex ?
or even Apexi ?
I'm sure with a little a bit of home work the Apexi FC could be very easily adapted to any other cars and they are going for under 450 quid new on ebay at the mo!

There are people using Omex, S8, Autronics, Megasquirt, Emerald off the top of my head on here.
Pectel ECU's are extremely good and not many people on here use them to be honest. There is a few who do use Pectel.
I am talking about Pectel's ECUs and not the Pectel boards that go into the Webber Marrelli ECU's....
