Default Fancy a Caltex rep. Thoughts please.

Been thinking about what to do with my old 3 door cossie shell as I managed to purchase a brand N O S shell from oak fields last year to reshell my road car so have the old one sat in the garden doing nothing.

My old shell really isn't that bad and I will be using it for track only so not bothered if it's had welding done ( reason I reshelled my old one as this shell needs welding)

I have been going over some of the old bcc threads and I really fancy the Caltex rep for me mainly Paul's NYS fault as I love his one.

Mine won't be mint, it's literally going to be built to abuse but will be a full Caltex 500 rep with a stage 3 yb.

Would love to know what you guys think.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm not 100% on what livery yet but I prefer the Caltex the most. I also like the labatts.

The red and white on the Caltex even the red inners of the wheels does it for me

Thanks for the link Paul. Not sure what it is but just think the Caltex one stands out more. The rest are quite bare if that makes sense.

P S don't fancy Ian's latest shell then?

Meant to be mate. Lol. I thought about trying to find one maybe built but it's a shame as I have a gen cossie shell sat there. Plus the guy I use for all my steel work on jobs is semi retired and he loves cossies so said he would happily seam weld it for me and put the cage in etc for something to do

Just be careful with the identities if you officially did the last reshell properly with DVLA, then the old shell you have would be hard to put on the road legitimately as in effect 2 cars would have the same identity.

The road car has been reshelled using a genuine new old stock 909 unstamped sunroof shell so will be done right. The old shell when built is purely for track use and will be trailered to and from events.

If you wrap it you can change the style as often as you like, texaco one year and caltex the next etc etc and once your bored of big graphics you can strip it off and have a nice clean normal 3dr again.
