hi guys new to this forum so be gentle

i have a 2005 135 t350 tdci jumbo that i have turned into a motorhome to drag my race car to events.

it was parked up at the end of last season and has not moved since,all was fine last time we used it. when i came to start it the battery was flat so i charged it up as it was new last year.

it starts up and runs for about 5 to 10 seconds and stalls,so i thought maybe blocked fuel filter so i have changed that and it is still doing it.

any ideas?

air lock ? steady fuel at the injectors? all wire connectors water free?

If it's possible see if its showing any fault codes

thanks mathew could be an air lock i'm out of my depth with diesel's nice pickup by the way

EGR valve is always a good call on these. Blank it up and see what happens.

egr valve is a bit of a pain on these , but if that was playing up would it not be smokeing and have crap power

its not looking like a D I Y job so i have booked it in with a mate who knows more than me about diesels

you were spot on, it was a blocked egr and also the cat my pal managed to get it running and it was smoking.
