Default Tick over & stalling

My small turbo Escort Cosworth has developed a problem
It will start ok & tick over but it will stop dead then sometimes it will start fine but other time its a real bastard to restart & sound like its misfiring ???
then it will great
any ideas???

still on a dizzy?

sounds like phase sensor or possibly crank position sensor

when it stops then hard to start maybe flooding its self ?

could spark plugs play a part in the problem ? as if there meant to work at high temp maybe they would not be so great cold?
