What's your favourite car you own/owned?

I loved my MK1 Escort RS2000, cracking car, sounded awesome and it gave me so many good memories. I would have to say that on a par with that was my MK2 Golf 16V GTI, everything a hot hatch should be, just a shame that after owning it for almost 5 years some brain dead white van man caused it to be written off !

Best driven probably my sister's old mini, very nimble and felt going faster than really were, downside was it was a crap car mechanically, blown engine, failed brakes, rust, rust and rust.
My favourite owned my Mondeo ST24, but not had many cars, just very comfy cruiser and been very reliable.

My first Cossie....was only stage one but the feeling of pride and general awesomeness when I drove it home was one I've never had again!
I remember driving it home and picking up my brother and two mates, and driving it about all day

Probably my first car, a mk4 1.25 Fiesta, stripped it out, 60mm springs, bullied all my mates in their 1.4 Polo's etc!
Though being 20 I'm only on my second car, so not really much to rave about Would love a 205, but it's looking to be a mk5 ZS.

My mate got that m3 off Steve not long after and has still got it. Don't really do anything with it really, has been sat a while.
My best car is my sapphire cosworth but I did enjoy my golf mk1 gti, my 205gti and my 200sx

favourite car ive owned and still have is my 1986 Toyota corolla gt coupe (ae86), have it 7 years now, spent two and half years of that doing a bareshell restoration on it
apart from that car the only other one I really loved was a 96 red evo 4 I had, I live in Ireland but went over to Liverpool to look at one that was dog rough so then hoped on the train to Nottingham and bought the red one there, got the overnight boat back to Ireland from Liverpool and the joy of being thrown back in the seat taking off from every roundabout or junction driving that car at 6am on the way home was unreal and on the limiter in 5th gear on the motorway was unreal

I love my saff, but other than that, i'd say either my 205 DTurbo which was ridiculously good fun............
Or my civic VTi, this car was just awesome, went very, very well, handled like it was on rails and never ever broke, plus the standard LSD was a brilliant feature!

I think a lot of what made your favourite car was down to the time of your life you had it.
For me my favourite car is probably my old VW MK1 Golf GTi. They were great cars and just slid in a controlled fashion when pushed, it certainly was the bollox when I was 18! Both me & my mate had mk1 gti's at the same time.
What made it so great was being 18 with a golf gti! Think I could safely say if I'd waited almost 20yrs to drive one it wouldn't be my favourite car!
Seems strange that we could insure them back then, just caught insurance at the right time. Just before we were driving insurance was through the roof due to a lot of RS cars and the like being stolen or smashed up. Then it just seemed to come down massively, I remember my mate getting a quote on a saphire cosworth at 19 for about Ł900. My golf cost me about Ł600 to insure at 18.

Best car I've owned is my IS - it's not fast or quick, or even economical But it's by far the best, and nicest, car I've ever owned
As for favourite - well I loved my two S1's, but I'd say it has to be my XR3i;
Just cos it was my first "proper" car, and I put a lot of time, money, sweat, and probably tears into taking it from completely bog standard, to the final product. It was nearly all hand done (all except the final painting; but all the fabrication, prep, primering, fiberglassing, etc etc was all done by me, my brother and some mates from time to time), so was a real labour of love.
Miss that car!

Mine has to be my mk2 rs 2000, it was sat on the deck caged out with twin 45s in signal orange! I blew the gear box and sold it for Ł400 about 12 yrs ago such fun driving it with my mates, regret selling it to this day

one of the drawbacks is that you sell something really nice, then want to buy it back years later, only to find that its turned into a bucket of shit

My Renault 19 16v. Wasn't the fastest car I've owned and it was exceedingly French but when I was 18 and all my mates drove pop plus's you'd get all the ladies onto the leather seats of the Renault without a moments hesitation
