ford sierra 1988 fuel gauge problem

Default ford sierra 1988 fuel gauge problem

My ford sierra 1988 is only reading fuel correctly on the fuel gaugue when it is parked as soon as you start it. It drops deep into the red and idea's

Sounds like a wiring fault. You might have to drop the fuel tank down to check the fuel sender.

Have a look for a haynes manual on ebay they sometimes come up on there cheap.
They have wiring diagrams in the back.If you get stuck i will take a pick of the wiring diagram and so you know what wires to check.
