Default BUYERS BEWARE - DEFLEX bushes

ive just been on the phone for the 6th time just now, and have been fobbed off with the same story that ive had EVERY week, "they are being tested and will be with you later in the week",

i've just about had it, 6 weeks ive been waiting on these engine mounts now, when i first rang up they said it would be 2-3days dispatch, no signs, no phone calls or anything, as far as im concerned they can stick their custom up their arses

i better get something good out of it, a wait of 6 weeks for some gear box mounts is a fuckin piss take

a very very disgruntaled

I had all my deflex bushes fine. I must admit I rang them in December about the gearbox mounts and they offered for me to test them out on my car My car aint even drivable yet See here: https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...ghlight=deflex

So, they ain't fobbing you off, they obviously still haven't got round to testing them and making them available. Glad I read this, I was gunna ring them next week and see if they were ready yet

they said they would be at mine in 2-3 days

i rang back a fortnight later and they said they were redesigning them, they were currently out on test and that they would be there by teh end of teh week

nothing came

rang back a further fortnight later and they said that they were waiting on metal for the mounts, it would be there by teh end of the week and they would be at my door first thing the next week

rang up on the following wednesday they told me they were out on test and that they would deffinatly be with me by the end of the week

rang up this morning, he started fobbing me off with teh same story then started saying the first ones they did were crap and they were redesigning them again, that i have to ring back on friday

im not being funny, but theyre running a business, im only running about 170 so i dont need unbreakable mounts, but 6 weeks wait for 2 gearbox mounts and a pair or arb bushes in any case is damn right unacceptable

if i had rang up and they had said, it will be 2 months wait idve gone to fords and got some standard ones

not impressed, no excuses

In their defence if they sent out the mounts and they weren't any good you'd be moaning about them........

I've been waiting since December for a few sets to arrive for customers but I'd rather have a decent set than a crap set.....

Rawli, hence why I never placed an order as they were still testing them back in december when I asked about them. At the end of the day they aint ready, they aint ready. I can totally see where you are coming from about the wait, especially as you have paid for them, I don't beleive they are fobbing you off though and you wil get them!

obviously id want some that work rather than them having to replace broken ones but their service is stinking

Dunno yet I ain't got them to test.....

They have been havin a few probs and had a few redesigns of the part thus taking time to release the product...... at the end of the day if they are 100% spot on at £9.50 each they will sell by the 100's as that'll be nearly half the price of a std Ford mount with the quality of a Vibratechnics mount......(which are £90 each)

Trust me I have a nightmare with them as well, but imo its worth that extra hastle when comparing their prices to places like Power Flex etc

Sounds like a good price, and at least they must be about out of excuses now, so hopefully you'll get them soon.

I ordered a rear axle set for the Sierra and they arrived two days later. No real difference in quality between them and Powerflex on the other car but HUGELY cheaper.

Haven't driven the car yet so can't say how they compare performance wise or how they will stand up to use.

I fax orders in and they deliver no problem when the order is ready.

I do order exactly what I want (11mm arb) etc I don't get a problem.

Always had great service at an excellent price.

ive got a set of thier bushes on both of my cars.

have had 1 fail, and they replaced with no prob.

good bushes and price.

but thier service is bad, they should tell more realistic times to thier customers.

Heres the cvh mounts they sent me this week for testin.
(the design has changed a few times in the last month, and they dont wont to sell a design till they know it wont fail)

only mod needed is the hole in gearbox cradle needs to be drilled out from 10mm to 22mm.

yeah lads pissed off i was

fiesta cossie

was that the "fail safe plan" he was chatting on about, looks like a bodge to keep the mount there if u ask me, fuckin big bolt through the cradle so if the mount gives way then theres a nice fat bolt holding your engine in place........

they better turn up sharpish and be of good quality, whats the crack ifi dont want to use em again, i have to go and buy another fucking cradle cos the monkeys have designed it so i have to drill the hole to double the size....

my flat mate had 3 of there gearbox mounts rip in half then they said we will send
you another but dont drive it hard until we send you some of the new design once
they are done that was 4 months ago luckily he went out and
bought some vibratechnics ones i wouldn't waste the money on deflex ones
the vibratechnics ones are so much better in my opinion

i used vibra technic mounts and have had them fail, like std ford ones.

the deflex mounts seem a cheap easy way out.

the bolt stops any movement away from cradle ( which is why all other mounts brake. so to me seems a simple solution.

i aint yet fitted them so, at mo dont know how they will last.

Deflex problem is there not testin and provin their new bushes b4 they advertise and sell them, which is why many peeps are not very happy with them.

cheers danny
