hi my name is lee, just joined this site. i need help i have a mk2 xr2 ford fiesta and i want to know what engine would fit best with maximum power, also where i can get one from. i was hoping for the cossy engine if possible.

easiest swap is defo a zetec, but how much power is completely down to your budget
they can do crazy numbers that are matching yb's these days, but you'll need very deep pocketc
if its just for a xr2 then on a cheap budget go 2 litre zetec with bike carbs and cams for a cheap screamer
or do a budget zetec turbo built, in something light like a xr2 either of these will be great fun

We did a 2 litre Zetec in my mates and used bike carbs. Was a proper little screamer, pissed off a local lad with a Rover 200 turbo.
Make sure brakes and suspension are up to the job.
You could go mad with turboing the Zetec but it's not cheap to do properly.
