Mk3 doors the same as Mk4?? I need a new passenger door and been offered a S2 door? YES or NO

yes the same. needs a bit of a fettle where interior door handle goes but easy enough.

Nearly, same outer skin - inner skin is different.

IMO i wouldn't bother, wait for a mk3 door mate.

not the same , the inner need moding for the handle

its easy enough to modify . you need a bit of flatbar about 50mm long to hold the handle in position.
once the door card is on you cant tell.
mk3 doors are hard to get now. its not rocket science to make it work.......

No not rocket science, just hassle.

Or buy a normal door and weld some extra sheet metal along the B piler side of the door, thus making the door look wider.

Cheers guys, I'll leave them and wait for a mk3 door, got enough stuff to modify without doing a door

the locking etc will swap straight over so i wouldnt class that as a problem. is if your a lazy coont.

paul im still waiting for info on that shell for you the lad that has it has
got loads of mark 3 escort turbo parts, for a matter of fact im sure he has
2 other s1 for breaking, will be in touch asap
