Default Turbo shaft play...

Help!?

I have a turbo with some issues, the turbo shaft has absolutely no lateral play, but it does move back and forth, does that mean the bearings are fooked?

Many Regards,
Kieren

if you can pull the shaft out towards you then yes it needs a rebuild, lots of movement?

Well I measured it as 0.6mm, the shaft spins freely and like I said no side to side, but I dont want to put it up on ebay and end up with it back with negative feedback, if it needs a rebuild I can put that in the add.

Roller bearing turbos normally have a small amount of thrust movement, normal turbos shouldn't have any

Its a T04E T3/T4 so I believe it is a thrust bearing, so I guess it is a definite rebuild.
