Mk4 van to pickup

Got a mk4 van that I am doing a lot of work to.seen a pic of a pickup and was wondering if any one has done this on here.

seen loads done but look stupid with the high roof but if you done it put car roof skin on be better

Theres one here but it was actually built as a pickup, called a Bantam and was imported https://passionford.com/forum/restor...k4-pickup.html

Search google images for 'Escort Pickup' theres loads, although i think most are built from Combi Vans or Cabriolets.
