Default Uprated fuel pump

My fuel pump went ca'put so bought an uprated one from burton power suitable for cosworth,rst's...... Thing is the pos and neg fittings is different on the new one they are like prong tyke connectors, I spoke to my mate as he bought one for his saff but didn't fit it someone else did but he knew he had to change connectors on loom, where do I get the proper connectors from or has anyone got any, I tryed crimping some connectors on to the pump but they are loose it's not gonna work like I hoped

Cheers

pull the yellow and black bits off and use a die to create a thread or if there is one already fit eyelet connectors and tighten up with a nut and washer.

I did this with mine.

Yeah its like the standard one, but in princeable its the same thing hidden under the colour sleeves.

think its a 5-6mm die you need to use. Dont use a power tool, and ratchet with a socket would do.

this is what it looks like:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hanson-Hex...item5d39cf5329

plenty of different ones around. this one would fit into a socket designed to hold dies.

Thanks, theres a resto thread one here and RSOC forum....was awful to look at, at first.

I am having fun with an in-tank one at the moment! luckily I can solder and understand wiring very well! - sounds silly but maplins or somewhere like RS will have all the bits you need to do a very neat job!

the connector at hte edge of the tank had an intermittent earthing fault! proper ball ach as when you try to test it (ie moved it) it worked the would suddenly stop working again due to vibrations! got there in the end!
