Default What would it cost to put back?

Hello,

So my cossie has been going a restore for too long now and i want it done!

What would it cost for someone to put the fuel pump on and put back what ive took apart Things like manifold and turbo, making the exhaust fit the turbo (different "clip") all rads and new belts. Does need paint but at least it would be running.

Or would all this be on hour rate and ill get my pants pulled down, i just dont have the time and it will have to wait for 2014.

Just want it running again even though it most probably will be rich lol

Cheers.

I am waiting for the firing squad as well

It be impossible for anyone on here to say a price. Cheapest is to do it your self if not then get a mate to do it or failing that then find a reliable small garage. I use one across from my house and leave him the keys and tell him to get n with it when he not got anything else to do. Always comes back with a fair price. He knows his way round old fords and enjoys it Ashe calls it proper mechanics not plug in and change sensor type work

Sorry been out all day.

Cheers everyone!

Well its little things like the fuel pump needs putting back together and in the engine bay needs doing a little (manifold "need bolts", rads and belts) Would of liked the rocket cover painting but feel like ill sod something up from removing it.

The window screen needs filling round the edge as its had rust there (window is out and had kurust on it)

The biggest thing is the spray job of the blue door and black bumper i guess, think i need to get friendly with a sprayer

I would love it do it myself but with lack of knowledge i dont want to do anything wrong for a start, its time as ive always got something to do as my dad cant do any of it.

Then after that ill need to make it road worthy with tyres and brakes, all minor things but its money at the end of the day.

If anyone would like to help/donate i live near ely.

Cheers.

i dont mean to sound neagtive but honestly if you cant afford to run a cossie just get rid and get something you can afford, you will ultimately enjoy it more imo.

The running cost wont be bad its the set-up thats not great at the moment, always wanted a cossie project and i wanna finish it!

I did think about it but i would rather wait and let it sit there, not like im going to lose money from it.

these are all the smileys that actually happen when running a cossie!

then there's this one when you realise you're only doing about 10mpg because you're driving like an arse everywhere:

Being serious though, i can do bits and pieces, but probably best waiting until you have some cash before attempting to fix anything, because most of the parts will be subject to 50% 'CAT', a special tax that only cossie owners have to pay. not a cheap car to fix unfortunately

PM me when you decide to get cracking though
