Remember seeing these at rsoc shows on track when they first came out, people were selling there cossies for them, think they were type r model. Looking at cosworth prices now or used imprezas you can see which marque has held its money.

True true but I'd wager the cossie cost a lot more to keep on the road all those years plus tbh you can use an Impreza everyday without anymore than regular servicing, not so sure the ford.

Plus an Impreza was generally a better car, albeit not as desireable or handsome as a cossie.

Fords tend to hold their money because they generally rot away hence the old supply and demand thing.
You only need to look at non rotting performance fords like st220's etc to see how quick the value drops.

or just man up and deal with them instead of squealing across the playground to teacher that somebody said something horrible about your car.

it would be a pathetic world if all we ever heard was positive comments and praise and didn't get any criticism.

Give it a chance, they will rise I value again just like you could buy a 3 door from 5k abs. Rs500 for 10k

I paid 4200 for a 350bhp 2wd cossie with quaife diff and magnesium rl7's 9 years ago

Mine just passed its MOT and only needed a £7 ball joint
Not bad for 14yrs old. Tyres and brakes are 2yrs old and still fine, and it didn't need oil between its yearly service.
I did only do 5k last year and 7k before that but it was all town/potholed country lanes.

Old thread, but imended up with bugeye UK300, prodrive map to 240bhp and it was good.
Averaged around 21mpg but i only had it 9 months, i bought it with a noisy gearbox and destroyed second gear on a hard launch lol.

Replacement box and then i was made an offer i couldnt refuse on it.

Should have kept it tho, i missed it! The replacement Audi A3 TDI Sport quattro was a fucking letdown, so binned that off too.

I now have a Mk3 focus ST estate, and once rolling is quicker than the Impreza was, but the Impreza would have it every time off the line if the gearbox stayed intact lol
