Default Classic Impreza's... Opinions?

Anyone here into them?
Seem very cheap these days, can get a nice early wrx for around £1500...

I have a great passion with them as my dad used to have one when I was younger...
This one infact...

Anyone else have any fond memories?

I had the WR1 as a daily driver and loved it. I would have a classic shape no probs but it would have to be a P1 or a 3dr type r

love em had some great times when me and the lads all had them and went cruising round great times at great speeds like you say 1500 buys one but how good of a car will it be and am sure the cost of repairs will soon out way what you paid so be prepared to loose a few quid too

I like the classic shape but only in 3dr form, Type R/RA, P1 and 22B are nice, just the engine lets them down when searching for more power.

My old man imported a few classics new in the mid to late 90s. They were proper rare in them days, was the most popular kid in school. He loved his R reg one so much he kept it till mid 2003, by then they were chav wagons. Some 18 year old bought it. The day he picked it up with his mum dad took her to one side a said to make sure he was careful as its a very quick car (genuine Sti 280hp, starship fast back then) she said 'don't worry, he's had a saxo vtr since he was 17' dad shook his head and handed the keys over!

Next day he got a disgruntled voicemail saying it won't go over 112!

6 months later it was upside down in a ditch.

The Type R's and P1's etc were a lot quicker than the usual STI's/WRX.

The car was like this around 2005 so I guess modified cars we're rather popular then...

Halfords don't sell "fake carbon" bonnets costing £500, the blue bulbs are Chrome indicator bulbs so their wasn't a yellow bulb in the Crystal light conversion. Although I do admit they look blue. I guarantee they didn't light up blue! also the "m3 mirrors" are m6 mirrors

Well I have a classic v3 STI impreza,,, in all honesty I love it apart from when I decided to mod it,,, used it every day for 2 years as a daily driver then a occasional drive to wool/weekends ect

Ok the image is shite but they are perfect cars to drive honestly are !!!

Ginge,

Best one made for me mate the V3 , i loved my Type R, great car, had a forged Tractive Solutions Engine, huge APs, bigger blower etc etc. did a 12.6@ 109 so was pretty quick, flat out @ 130 though but that's jail speed anyway

Cracking cars and a lot of fun for your £££££

I had my turbo for six years. I've only just sold it

I'd love a classic but if I was going to do it I'd stick it on low spec bumpers and spoilers with a set of banded steels or something with some seriously sticky rubber and had a nice sleeper lol
