is there any advantage of running 2 normal saffy 4x4 fuel pumps together instead of a 044 one, reason i ask is i got 2 pumps at home but i need a 044 one and have seen a few things about people runnin 2 fuel pumps in sequence or summit, whats the score with it and how dya do it???

I used to have two pumps in the rally car, and I think it's done purely on the basis that if one fails, you still have one there to get you back to service.
I was gonna run two lift pumps, and two fuel pumps, but I can't be arsed with stuff going wrong, so have just gone for the one group A.

This is the Reyland Escorts old setup, two pumps on the left and fuel filter on the right.
If you have 2 new standard pumps then no reason not to use them in this way, but one Grp A pump is neater, also if it fails the engine stops, if you have 2 std pumps and one of them fails, well you can guess what might happen if 1 pump can't supply enough fuel for the engine...

I can't give specific advice on your setup, but generally 2 pumps are run in parrallel (wes's pic) as a fail safe system. A common cause for engines 'letting go' is lack of fuel (running lean). If you are running the 1 pump, and lets say it fails at 7k rpm...... The chances are the engine will have breathed it's last.
One thing i would advise, is use pumps that have enough fuel delivery for your engine, if used on their own, for the reasons above.

Om my last car i put a t piece on the tank in to two pumps in the orignal cradle then twin pipes to the front into two standard fuel filters under the bonnet then t piece into the fuel rail. Easy the return is ok as is. And i just crimped the second pump to the orignal cables. It made it sound a lot diff more burbely but i was running 8 greens and nos!.
It easy I done all m=ine in aeroquip but norm hose is ok
