Default pics of my engine failure, heads now off

well I took the head off this morning and found as expected that the valve head had come off, this has then turned through 90 degrees and punctured through the piston
there is damage to the valve seat but I hope this can be repaired anyone know?
As for the bottom end repair can I get away with just a new piston? I t has only done about 3000 miles since being built so the bore is perfect, problem I have is the bottom end is all lightened and balanced so will need to have the whole bottom end removed and balanced again

Now for the crunch, who do you recommend to repair the head? and poss the bottom end. I would prefer a pinto expert as it isn't just a normal head but is fully modded and I don't want it messing with.

my dad doing the hard work while I hold the camera!!

very knackered piston

carnage in the head!!

thats what it should look like, check out the huge valves!!!

valves removed to get a better idea of the damage to the seat face.

I'd say that the head is almost certainly fooked, cos the valves are so big, there's not really any material left to play with

Similar thing happened to my Cossie,17 miles after it was rebuilt

Got away with a new piston, other 3 were fine. Needed a new head tho.

Was concerned that the rod was bent as well but it was fine.

See ya tomorrow hopefully.
