TBH I gave £1500 for mine in 2005 and sold it 18 months ago for around a grand, car was still going fine without any major work on it.
Flew as well, it had a new cat and brake pads in all the time I owned it.
Fabulous cars, their quick anyway so don't need much ot of the box.
I think its when they get modded badly the faults occur.

So your saying that you had a peugeot 205, a car credited for being one of the best hot hatches ever made, and with 200bhp nearly double standard it was a wet flop.
If it couldnt keep up with an Rs2000 or a volvo it was slower than standard...
As a road car, i would imagine through its front wheels it was a bit of a handful, and probably failed to be as good on the road as its newer, revised brother the 106gti/saxo VTS.
The "not got 800bhp, its shit gtfo" attitude stinks.

When i was last at Cadwell there were two ponces in a piece of fuck fiat 20v turbo thing talking about it like it was the hottest shit to hit the race track and how it would do 175mph and had 1brazilion bhp. He went out onto the track, did 5 or so laps really badly, got passed by everyone, me in a VTR included and then crashed...
