That took a while to read!
Lol well 3k is just never going to happen mate! I only payed 4k for the car lol Ido wanted it sorted as I can't stop looking at it now! The body shop I emailed said 800 for a full shoot which I'm now thinking is too cheap so could be shite! My heads battered!

yeah sorry about that fella, just i hate seeing this shit when its such a simple thing just to do a decent job, ive Main dealer paint/body behind me, boils my piss work like that.
800??, they just gonna put a plaster over it then?
fooookin hell, im guessing for that price you supply the tools, booth, paint............................
Hope the recovery's included
Nah genuinely i see your point fella, BUT if your looking at this as a loooong term keeper then id save up and go PRO.
End of day if i were looking for a motor like that then tbh if it were 2k more than the next one, with PROOF of a quality repair then me that'd be the one id look at..only thing that dictates second hand prices is the volume of cars on offer..plenty of shit about if thats what you want...
Good cars are very hard to find imop.
Example...
Ive just banged a 106pug independance through auction, book price 300 notes, 100 spent and 8hrs later....sold for Ł750 and thats with the fee's taken off
its possible to see a return of ni-on what youve outlayed, but its gotta be a minter..and lbh these aint an uncommon motor hence value's are so low.
Id keep it repaint it and bask in its quality for 5yrs
Either way i wish you all the best with it chap..hope its do-able for you

depending how extreme it is that will clear up a lot come summers warm weather.
I once had an RS i put under a cover outside over winter and come spring when i pulled the cover off the front wings and bonnet were covered in micro blisters! couple weeks in the dry and heat and they disappeared. also same on a mates car come summer they went.
not to say they wont be back come winter again

Sell it and with the money you are about to spend painting it put it towards a newer Audi with all the toys, every day it's getting older and depreciating.
The blisters are annoying and noticeable to you but somebody else might not notice/care.
I wouldn't spend upwards of 1k on paint on a 4k car unless it was something I couldn't replace for the same amount but in better condition.
It looks lovely in the 1st pic,not a fan of red but that does suit it.
Getting a good painter is a minefield as price and quality don't always go hand in hand.

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Micro Blisters are a common phenomenon caused by poor preparation of a repair.
Buy a Loupe to view the spots close up and burst one with a pin to see if moisture escapes.
Ask the painter to test the area with an Elcometer to measure the paint thickness. Anything over 100µ suggests a repair.
You could try warming the affected area with a heat gun, but I doubt it will do any good.
Good Luck.
